Jim Girard

Jim Girard is president and chief executive officer of the Loss Adjusting business for GAB Robins. GAB Robins is a leading provider of loss adjusting and claims management services and solutions to the insurance and self-insured marketplace.

In this position, Mr. Girard oversees the company's Loss Adjusting business including its Executive Loss Adjusting (ELA) Division, specialty operations and catastrophe operations.

Mr. Girard began his career at GAB Robins in 1973 as an adjuster trainee in New York City. After two years, he was promoted to branch casualty supervisor and within one year, he was promoted to New York City branch manager, a position he held for 11 years. In 1988, Mr. Girard became regional manager for the Eastern Region and five years later, he was promoted to vice president of the Western Region. In 1999, he became senior vice president of the Western Region and a year later, he was promoted to senior vice president – ICS Field Operations and chief operating officer. He then became senior vice president – ELA and ICS Field Operations in 2002, with responsibility for the ELA operation, GAB Robins’ premier, high-end network for multi-line claims adjustment. He was promoted to executive vice president of North American Operations in 2005.

Mr. Girard holds a New York State General Adjuster License, and served four years as an Adjunct Professor at the College of Insurance in New York City. He holds a bachelor's degree in economics from Wagner College.
